Tuesday Smuesday.

Today I am grouchy. Honestly I am trying not to be but it seems to not be getting any better. Carlos is VERY dirty and needs cleaned bad and all of the empty pop cans and dirt on the floor is making me crazy I do believe. However, I did learn today that I get to go to DC next week with the fam! Yay Yay Yay!!!
I have been pretty productive the last couple of days. I took Rox my Sox a bath and decided she needed to upgrade to the collar since she is a big girl now. So after the bath I cut her hair and put a new pony tail on top of her head and put on her new collar. She is not liking it, she loved her harness. I think she is upset about the change, and although she felt pretty in her harness, I felt a tad differently. She loves to sit and watch out the window, so here is a picture. Love her.

I also decided yesterday that I was going to put together new clothing ideas on hangers because I am over wearing the same clothes every other day. I am trying to expand my wardrobe and while doing so I realized I have so many beautiful shoes begging to be worn. I text B telling him to please not let me buy any new shoes because the ones in my closet are perfectly fine and are in need of a good walk. I put together around 10 different church outfits and slightly under that of casual outfits. I have a hard time with casual because although I have good intentions, I end up in my Miley Cyrus oversized WalMart tee's. Thank you for inventing your line, Miley, it has made my life so much better. These lovely oversized t-shirts are so easy to wear and I now own them in every color. However, they are still $5 at WalMart.
Dear Miley- I think you should lower your prices because the same shirts are selling for $2 at American Eagle. They are just as cute and comfortable and AE has the little bra-top things to match under them... You need to get more competitive. Sincerely your favorite customer.
I also bought her jackets for $3 in black and white and they are great purchasing buys as well. I am a barman shopper! Anything on sale I feel like I must buy it. Its a curse. We went to the Goodwill here to see if their selections would be as good as NC. For the girls it was a miss, I was verryyy saddened by the pitiful selection. I did however pick up a skirt from H&M for $2.50 which is perfect- its dressy and gray. Baruch however hit the jackpot. Apparently someone his size dropped off a ton of great clothes! He got 2 Ruehl dress shirts and the new Military style shirts originally from Express brand new. We were very excited.
I even took pictures with my new cam! These are pointless I just wanted to use the camera.

Speaking of new camera, I got home from Jeni's and this is what I saw-

Thanks husband.

PS. Kenz I LOVE your sunglasses that you left in my car.

Stay Close, Don't Go.

I traveled back to my hometown of Clinton this past week, and had such an amazing time. The trip is now only 4 hours and 45 minutes and well worth every minute of traveling. I am closer than I have been in two years and I will take any opportunity to see my best.
Ohio is a breeze to travel through but as soon as Indiana hits its almost torture. They fool you entering into this "lovely" state by saying oh sure you can go 70. How exciting right? WRONG. I do not think I have ever seen more orange cones/signs than I have in this one stupid state. I think they put the speed limit to 70 because in no way can you even get going that quickly. I went between 40-55 the whole time in non-stop traffic. At one point I even got so lucky that traffic completely stopped and everyone was out of their cars eating picnics on the side of the road.
As soon as I entered into my old radio station airwaves I cried! I know that sounds stupid but it was just so overwhelming. I do this every time I come home but still. I even keep my old presets in my car! When I got to Clinton I made Jeni go to El Ray with me! My absolutely favorite restaurant ever. Ramee (Jeni's sister) and Nora met us there too, where we got to witness and actual fight. How WT. A guy actually threw a knife at the person he was sitting with. El Policia were called and everything turned out fine. I was also trying to "lay low" and not let a lot of people know I was back, but fortunately my favorite one and only Letta (Paul) was there and I got to see him for a few minutes. He impacted my life so much more than he will ever know. I love him for being the best youth pastor in the world. But again, everyone knows everyone in our small little town so laying low was not an option. Ha.

In addition to seeing my best friend Jeni, I got to see Ramee and her beautiful kids! They are just the most sweet and loving kids. As soon as I came into their house they even told me their bible verses :) I just love them. When they smile it just makes me realize how great of a mom Ramee is for raising them in the truth. I have so much respect for her, even though I know it is probably extremely hard sometimes, she still manages to keep her home Godly. When you look into their eyes you can just so clearly see God's light shining through them all. When they look up and say "I love you" it is so sincere and beautiful.

I knew I loved them instantly. I actually had dreams both times Ramee had been pregnant before she even told anyone. I am so lucky to have a best friend, and one that I am so close to in every way including her family. I am so happy to know the Larson's and to be able to watch their kids grow up.

I also went with Bree, my beautiful cousin riding around Sunday night. No pictures were taken and I am not sure why? But I love her and I love that she would want to ride around in the car and talk to me for hours about nothing. As soon as I got into the car it was like nothing had changed and we picked right back up were we left off.

I also made Jeni go to Monicals with me and Avanties. Two places I have missed entirely too much.

As you can see Braden wore the cutest shirt ever. Ah he is a doll.
We also went to Bloomington to see Megs and also Jeni's boyfriend Chaddddyyy boy who is just wonderful. We ate at Avanties. I didn't want to be too much of a creep so I just took a picture of the building where we ate :)

I am so glad my best has someone that has mended her heart and will continue to do so. She deserves the best and I am thankful God placed her into my life. I couldn't have asked for anything any better. But again, God knows what you need and he knew I needed her. We have been best friends since 4th grade, and not a day goes by that we don't speak. Here is a few more photos of the week!

PS. I got home and Husband had a lovely surprise waiting for me. A brand new camera!!!!!!!! I will post this on a separate entry though. It is beautiful.

DIY- Becoming Domesticated

It has been a week since I could get back on! And this is coming from a jobless someone. Clearly I have been busy.
I have now moved all of my belongings into the house and everything is coming along perfectly. All of my furniture has a place and I think it looks splendid. I have three closets now which is just an amazing thing! I have been obsessively cleaning and discovered that I love Old English wood polish. It is a great addition to my collection of cleaning supplies. I seriously love cleaning supplies. I am thankful to have the break to be able to do something I enjoy right now. Unfortunately it has been raining every day here, but it has slightly helped motivate me to stay indoors. All of my years of watching HGTV has actually helped because I have been trying to stage the house so when people come in they can see the potential. I also now have an office space to sit in, which is a definite upgrade from sitting in my bed on my computer.
We put together a bookshelf! It was supposed to take a lot less time, but it got done.

Roxi even fell asleep in the middle of this process! We are not carpenters.

Rox is a big girl now (ha, notice her diaper). She has had a rough week, and is trying to get settled. She loves the fact that she can sit and look out the window. I think she possibly has a boyfriend across the street. It is a huge Golden Retriever and although he is very handsome, I do not think they would be a good match. This is what I wake up to in the morning and I love it. She completely brightens my day!

I have also been at the church trying to get all of the updates finished so it is not a construction zone. I feel like all I do is clean and organize, but this works for me. I am just thankful to have time off from having a job and going to school. No worries, I will start back up in the fall, but I just wanted a small break. Also, Westerville has a million places to eat, and also a great mall just around the corner. I am trying to stay away from the huge XXI but, alas, it seems impossible.

Baruch and I went to the park and hung out. It is really crowded during the day, so we went at night. It was a great time! Yes, we are still kids. Who cares right?

Hello World

I have started this blog to be able to keep track of my adventures. A diary that is not limited to a book that will some day just be thrown away...

Change is inevitable, yet so hard for me. However, I have moved to three different places in the past 2 years. I am now moving to Ohio to start another new adventure.

This is the person making it all happen-

He has changed my life completely. He has made me into a person that I could never have imagined to be. But this will all be explained in later posts of course. Thanks for inspiring me B.

This is our one and only, Roxie. Sometimes referred to as Roxanne...Louise. Taken from my mother's middle name. She is our little grimlin lovebug.

More will come soon!

PS. On the top of my wish list is a new camera to document these adventures. That is all for tonight.
